About me

Émilie Péricard de GUTS work dans sa présentation "about me"

For years, I have been resolving conflicts before the court of justice.

Today, I accompany my clients before going to Court, teaching them how to handle conflicts inside of them and around them, using the tools of mediation… and their body.

I am Emilie, certified mediator, somatic practitioner and former lawyer.

For 15 years, I have been working in the conflict field.

It started with judiciary and legal resolution. Here, I got to observe closely the psychology of conflict. What is at stake for one person, what has been said, what probably had not.

What does it mean then, « JUSTICE » ?

Is a Court, as competent and well intentioned as it can be, able to give a solution which takes into account the whole person? Their fears, their needs, their wounds…?

No.

Mediation can. And well-used, it can avoid many dramas, micro or macro.

Mediation shouldn’t be used only for crises or as an alternative to legal proceedings.

Mediation offers many tools that everyone should learn and use in their daily life : at work, in family, in relationships.

Thanks to these skills, my daily life changed. The squabbles, the altercations with my partner, my kids, the uncomfortable moments with friends or colleagues. All of that became « navigable », transformable… as long as I take responsibility for what I experience.

At the same time, a personal event turned my life upside down.

My father was diagnosed with aggressive cancer. Our relationship had become conflictual and I would have loved for us to open up to one another before it was too late.

But he closed himself off and refused my attempts to reconnect.

Six months later, when he died, we had said our « I love you’s », but his obstinacy in keeping the door closed on his resentment, his difficulties, even his traumas, remained truly hard for me to accept.

His death was a genuine breakdown in my life.

To get through this grief — both the loss of my father and all the things he would never share — I started working with a Chi Nei Tsang practitioner, to get Taoist belly massages.

This experience deeply transformed how I understand myself. I went through a true revolution : working on my body got me out of my mental loops.

And yet, the body constantly speaks : the belly that tightens, the tingling around the navel, the heat rising to the head, the tensed shoulders, the shallow breathing.

The body is part of our conflicts. As a messenger and as a companion.

That is how GUTS was born.

A way to explore our conflicts, with the tools of mediation and body intelligence.

Because when we learn how to listen to what is said and what is felt, the possibilities of transformation become far wider.

GUTS is about both intuition as a compass and the courage to face ourselves.

Today, my clients learn how to explore their conflicts differently.

We use each uncomfortable situation, each tension, each relational difficulty as a door to a better understanding of what is truly at stake.

We uncover patterns, beliefs, relationship systems and automatic responses.

We learn how to use the body as a powerful tool for inward listening, soothing and transforming.

Whether you come for inner conflicts or interpersonal disputes, I have the same goal for you :

That you leave the sessions with concrete intellectual and bodily tools that you can immediately use in your daily life.

Tools to navigate tensions and transform them into opportunities for growth.
